Many universities (through their associated language institutes) and private institutes offer Korean language courses for foreigners, ranging from basic to advanced. The university classes are the most structured, but private institutes offer greater flexibility for scheduling and locations.
Note: foreign residents need to receive permission from the Immigration Office before enrolling in Korean language classes (unless they already have a student visa). Certain universities will offer student visas to enrolled students.

Special Interest
Many private institutes offer a wide selection of special interest instruction, ranging from languages to martial arts to computers to musical instruments. While most are geared towards Korean high school students cramming for the college entrance examination or college students trying to improve their language skills, others target older students interested in broadening their education or pursuing personal interests.
Most schools will welcome any foreigner with a desire to learn, especially if the student has strong Korean language skills.
Korean Language Learning Facilities
Many universities and private institutions offer Korean language classes to foreigners from beginner to advanced classes.
